Faith Development at Sojourners Christian Church
As Children of God, We Grow Through Intentional Faith Development in a Variety of Ways & Times
Adult Faith Formation 9:30AM Sundays
Adults meet in the classroom adjacent to the Fellowship Hall for a variety of studies and discussions led by our pastor and/or lay leaders.
Additional Opportunities:
Kids Faith Adventure
Approximately four times a year we offer a Saturday morning event for children Pre-K through 5th grade. The schedule usually includes a trip in the church shuttle bus to a nearby location for additional learning, service, or play.
Book Club
We periodically offer an online book club for reflection and discussion. The books are of various theological opinions and authors and are chosen by the group. For meeting dates and times, see the current church newsletter.
Christian Women’s Fellowship
All women are invited to the monthly gathering on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall at for enrichment, study, fellowship, and a variety of local and denominational service opportunities. For more information, contact CWF President Ellen Traver at (417) 659-9080.
Joplin Interfaith Coalition
We partner with others from the Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist and Baha’i faith communities through Joplin Interfaith Coalition for periodic topical panel discussions, service projects, and annual potluck meals to learn and build relationships of peace and community betterment. FELLOWSHIP FOR ALL AGES
- Refreshments are offered before worship in the church entry area Sunday mornings at 10:15 for all ages.
- Monthly Potluck meals: the third Sunday of the month, immediately following morning worship.
